Category 10: Best Documentary
I’ll have to link to trailers here; except as noted below, I was unable to find many of these to watch. Going by description and advertising alone, though, I narrowed the nominees down to a smaller list based on what I personally consider to be subjects about “classic” horror: King Cohen, Monster Kids, 78/52, Tomb of the Topstones, and Who Goes There. Since I was unable to watch Monster Kids, which I have a feeling I’d love, I’ll have to either vote for 78/52 or abstain from voting in this category.
Here are the other nominees:
Batman & Bill, directed by Don Argott, Sheena M. Joyce. Available on Hulu.
King Cohen: The Wild World of Filmmaker Larry Cohen, directed by Steve Mitchell.
Monster Kids: The Impact of Things That Go Bump in the Night, directed by James-Michael Roddy.
The Mothman of Point Pleasant, directed by Seth Breedlove. Available on iTunes.
78/52, directed by Alexandre O. Phillippe. Available on Amazon Prime.
To Hell & Back: The Kane Hodder Story, directed by Derek Herbert.
Tomb of the Topstones, directed by Ray Castile.
Unearthed & Untold: The Path to Pet Semetary, directed by John Campopiano, Justin White.
Who Goes There? In Search of The Thing, directed by Daniel Griffith.
You’re So Cool, Brewster: The Story of Fright Night, directed by Chris Griffiths.
Short post today! I’ll try to do better when I get to the print categories.
Voting for the Rondo Awards is really easy! Simply send an email to taraco@aol.com by midnight on Sunday, April 8, 2018. You don’t have to vote in every category; however, you are limited to one vote.
While you’re voting for these great movies, TV shows and home video releases, please consider voting for classichorrors.club in Category 17: Best Website or Blog of 2017… only if you like what you see here and believe that it deserves it.
